Turbulence in the Bhoothalingam household

There is sudden turbulence in the Bhoothalingam household since the last 2 days ...

Here is the dining table conversation between J Bhoothalingam (JB) and his dear wife Mangalam (MB)

MB : What has happened to you old man ? I see a sudden change in your behaviour.

JB: Why ?

MB: Since yesterday I am seeing instead of reading the newspaper or watching TV or laughing at Whatsapp jokes , you are only staring at me ?

JB : Yes, I have decided to follow L&T CEO's advice..

MB: He said "Don't stare at your wife on Sundays". Today is not even Sunday..

JB : You see at my age nobody is going to give me a job where I can work for 90 hours per week. So I have decided to follow what L&T CEO thinks employees do in their leisure time because as a retired man my whole week is leisure time .. I will be staring at my wife 90 hours per week as if it is my work.

MB: For a few minutes, I liked you looking at me because you never even looked at me, forget stared, when you were working full-time in the bank, whether it was a weekday or Sunday . Now, this is too much. You are making me very uneasy.

JB: I don't know. Our man Subrahmanyan says working 90 hours per week is nation building... At the fag-end of my life, I do not want to be guilty of not doing my national duty.

MB : How can staring at wife be national duty ? If you keep staring at me like this who will water the plants, buy the groceries and the other small tasks you do that keeps you of my back. Now, not only are you not doing your duty, you are not allowing me to do my work. How is it helping in nation-building ?

JB: I don't know why L&T CEO thinks only thing the employees do on a Sunday is stare at their wives when my wife does not like it one bit. Is it only my wife or all wives feel that way ?

MB: At this age, all you have is me, like it or not. Come back to senses, stop staring, see who is at the door ?
